Alex is a 2010 Texas City High School senior. Plus he will graduate from College of the Mainland this summer with an Associates degree in graphics design! But he is not done yet… he has plans to go to the Art Institute of Houston (my alma mater!) and learn music production. Oh and I haven’t mentioned that he plays several music instruments and sings. In his free time, he works at the Warehouse and is active at Baypoint Church. Wow! He is really talented plus he is a super nice guy! And check out his senior pictures, he is photogenic to boot!

Matthew's Family
Matthew Johnson is a Texas City High School Senior that loves to hunt and play golf. We created some great shots of him with his gear in the studio and then took his BIG truck to the beach and photographed him sitting on the roof of it! And then Mom’s Mercedes had to get in on the action too, so we photographed it on the beach too! To top it all off we added the rest of the family to the photograph at the beach! What a wonderful memory everyone will have now that they have a gorgeous picture to remind them of how special his senior year was.

We are in our busy, busy high school senior mode! And we love it! I get to be really creative when photographing high school seniors. I was trained, at the Art Institute of Houston as a commercial photographer- essentially photographing widgets! This is so much better. I love my job!

This is it!
Many of us, myself included, are waiting, waiting and waiting before we act on something we really want. This could be a new career, a new house, going back to school, starting your own business or anything that is really important to you. Something you think is really out of reach. Something you think you’ll need the “planets” to line up just perfectly for this thing to ever happen.
I just had the joy of hearing Gail Blanke speak at the Women’s Business Summit sponsored by American Express. She is an arthur of three great books, was Vice President of Avon for over 20 twenty years and has been featured on Oprah.
And she finally convinced me to stop waiting and just do it already!
So if you are waiting for a sign…… this is it! Take this as your sign to go for it!!
She has a great book called “Between Trapezes” that talks about the moments that a trapeze artist is in thin air between one trapeze and the next. I never really thought about it before. But they just let go and know that the bar will be there when they need it to be.
Many of us stay far too long swinging and hanging on to our same old trapeze bar. I know that I have.
So this is to all of the trapeze bar hangers on….. let go and reach for the next bar! If you think about it ….you did it when you started driving. When you graduated from high school. When you got married. There have many times you have just let go and reached for the next thing – you just don’t realize it.
It’s been a few years since I have attended this parade and wow has it changed! The customes are ingenious and amazing. And there was a variety of animals, from dogs to baby goats to rabbits and horses! I set up shop and took photos of the contestents for the costume contest and had a blast. Of course the parade is sponsored by the Galveston Island Humane Shelter. They did a great job organizing this event! I believe it is one of their main fundraisers for the year. We plan to do our part by giving a donation back for each photo order. Here are a few photos from the event. Let me know what you think……

YEAH! I have finally completed the new website (same address) and it is live! I am not a techie, so I used a template and even so it was a really huge task! But the great thing is now I can post new senior pictures, baby portraits, family portraits or even well.. anything I want to quickly and easily. And there are alot of new and exciting 2010 senior pictures on the site! I am really excited about the new ideas for senior pictures this year. This is going to make updating the site much easier and that means better content for you as well. Wish I would have done this years ago!

We are having our popular buy one get one session get one free sale! It’s easy, purchase the studio, the alley or the activities and get one of the them free. We have four unique photography sessions for 2010 high school seniors. Each one is completely different.
The studio session offers two clothes changes, one of which can be a cap and gown (we have your schools color).
Then we have the alley session which is something we started about 8 years ago. We are located in downtown Galveston and have really cool old ally ways all around the studio. As an added bonus, I have added some real alley sets inside the studio, so when it is 100 degrees or raining, we can still get the unique look of the alley!
The activitiessession is for the seniors that have been involved in sports, band, cheer, or any other activity that has defined their high school years. We design a special “set” with your gear the captures all the dedication and honors your commitment. We have photographed everything from the school macsot, to the athletic trainer, sports enthusiast or drama nut.
And the most popular session is the beach photography location session. We are the beach portrait specialists! Susan has over 2000 beach sessions worth of experience! We know where the best beach is. Where the best place to photograph your car on the beach. Where to take your horse on the beach. Where to photograph your racing catamaran. Where to bring your jet ski. You name it, we’ve done it or can do it!
Of course we also photograph high school seniors at parks, golf courses, softball and baseball fields, football stadiums… where ever you do you thing!

I am very excited about the new web site design and blog and can’t wait for everyone to give us some feedack. I plan to post lots of photos from the studio and also give some tips on taking better pics. So any questions or ideas you may have, let me know about them.
